What a beautiful tribute to Moffett! This thoughtful, loving documentation of her life and times makes us wish that we had met her many years earlier. As it is, my husband, Mike, and I came to know the Halls about 12 years ago, after our niece Cassandra and their son Matthew (Kas and Val) were married. Val and his parents seamlessly became part of our extended family and we were delighted to have them with us at holiday gatherings. From the start, Moffett showed a keen and curious interest in whoever she spoke to; she connected with young and old alike, conversing knowledgeably and passionately on a very wide range of topics. While her physical frailty was evident during these later years, she exhibited a strength of spirit that never diminished, happily engaging with us all, despite the challenges of her failing health. We will miss her spark when the conversation lags; we will miss her warmth, her perception, and the fascination she had for all of us. We will miss her, but we won’t forget this truly remarkable, intelligent and resilient lady.

I appreciated how, after the Saturday dharma talk, Moffat would often ask a thoughtful, penetrating question in her soft voice. The softness of her voice belied the power of her questions.
Her kindness and concern for others could not be missed.
Thank you for this beautifully designed tribute, which tells me of the richness of Moffat's talents and gifts, beyond what I knew about.
